Shilong is located in the
middle of Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway System. The railway
traverses the town, goes south to Shenzhen and Hongkong,
runs north to Guangzhou and other big cities in China.
The Shilong Exit of Dongguan-Shenzhen Expressway is
only 5 kilometers away from the town center. The town
is also a key port of Dongjiang water transport, and
the sole inland port of combined transport by rail and
sea in this region. The commodities can be shipped to
Hongkong, Macao, Huizhou, Huangpu, Guangzhou, Wuzhou
in Guangxi Province, Jiangmen, Foshan, Zhanjiang and
Shantou. Five tracks of special trains connect the port
with railway freight stations of other cities in China.
